As a partner, the Army is involved in the NHRA Youth & Education Services program. The NHRA YES Program presented by the U.S. Army is devoted to educating students on the wide range of careers in the NHRA.

To further extend the Army's involvement in the sport, the Army recruited Tony Schumacher to drive the Army Top Fuel dragster. When "The Sarge" isn't on the track he visits schools in each race market for the chance to interact with students and speak with them about teamwork and the Army.

Budweiser, the official beer of NHRA, sponsors the $100,000 Big Bud Shootout at Pomona for Top Fuel drivers and the Big Bud Shootout at Indianapolis for Funny Car competitors. In conjunction with those programs, Budweiser awards $4,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Top Fuel and Funny Car at each NHRA national event. Budweiser also supports the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series as a team sponsor.

In addition to being the official auto parts store of NHRA, Checker Schuck’s Kragen, will sponsor a two-car Funny Car team in 2002 with drivers Del Worsham and Johnny Gray, as well as the Checker Schuck’s Kragen Nationals presented by Pennzoil in Phoenix. CSK also supports NHRA with advertising, in-store promotions, and customer contests.

Craftsman is the official tool of the NHRA and the title-rights sponsor of the NHRA Sears Craftsman Nationals.

In addition, FRAM is an active associate sponsor for many NHRA professional teams, including 11-time Funny Car champion John Force. FRAM also participates in NHRA's lucrative contingency program.

GMC Truck again serves as official truck of NHRA, which uses a full range of light-duty GMC trucks on its famed Safety Safari track service and emergency crew; light- and medium-duty trucks for transporting timing, maintenance, and safety equipment; and utility vehicles at all national events.

GR8RIDE as the official Internet technology partner of the NHRA, will provide hosting, design, and online advertising and sales solutions for NHRA.com, the official website of the NHRA. The enhancements, e-commerce features and promotional support that will be added by GR8RIDE are geared to drive even more Internet traffic to NHRA.com. In addition, GR8RIDE will develop marketing programs in support of all NHRA events and the NHRA's 50th Anniversary.

Pontiac, the title-rights sponsor of the Pontiac Excitement Nationals Presented by Summit Racing, made its debut as official car of NHRA in 1996 and again will fill that role in 2002. Pontiac vehicles will be featured at pre-race media events, customer-appreciation functions, and all pre-race activities.

Racing Communications Inc., NHRA’s official radio communications company, is a leading manufacturer and retailer of two-way communications for racing and business applications. The company supplies NHRA officials with two-way radio base units, mobile base units, and handheld units for national events. RCI also supplies radio systems to all NHRA-owned tracks.

Summit Racing Equipment, an industry leader in distribution of auto racing parts and equipment through catalogs and the Internet, is the Official Automotive Mail Order Catalog of the NHRA.
